Haunted by vivid dreams of a woman’s murder, Ambrosia is drawn into a mystery that blurs the line between dreams and waking life; a place where forgotten gods stir, and light and shadow entwine to reveal the truth of her connection to the past.
The World
The story unfolds in New Charrow, a modern city that balances renewal and nostalgia. Once a historic district, its aging brick buildings and vintage storefronts have been restored and repurposed for small businesses, cafés, and apartments. The streets may be paved with asphalt now, but echoes of the past still linger in its architecture and atmosphere.
As Ambrosia’s journey deepens, the story transitions into the ancient world of the Nyatoma Empire, rich in language, culture, and breathtaking landscapes that hold the secrets of her destiny. Some characters speak Nyatalium, an ancient ceremonial language of the Nyatoma Empire. A selective glossary is available for readers who wish to explore it further.
